Zac-Attack!
Little man!
Zac turned 8 and it's been party central ever since. We've had sleepovers...dinners out...a trip to OKC. And we are not even done partying!
He had a great time with his 2 buds from school with a sleepover/brownie cake attack. Then we were off to OKC for a swim party with his cousins and a home-made orange sherbet skater-cake made by Chef Brooke (aka Aunt Jeanne).
More news to follow as we keep up with this city-hopping party animal!
Can we have a hallelujah? HALLELU-YER!!! Gary graduated high school and we did a little celebrating! We surprised him by wearing t-shirts his school sold for a fundraiser - it asks..."Are you a fan?" On the back it says of "The Gary Lalli Fan Club!"
I think he had a good time and was not too embarrassed..but even if he was, we were not! HA!
Danielle has been practicing with her dance crew since September for the big show that was put on today. The whole dance theater put on a melody of hits ranging from the Beatles to Opera to Broadway. Danielle's group did a melody of tunes ranging from Hot Child In The City to Some Like It Hot and mixed in Fever. It was a pretty cute mix...thankfully with the more risque lyrics edited out for good measure!
Danielle's cousin, Rachel, came over to do hair and makeup. First we were off to meet Nana for lunch at Danielle's favorite..Panera and then we were back home for her to primp. Zac was rushed off to his baseball game and the rest of us scurried to get good seats. (Zman managed to catch an important fly ball!)
Needless to say, Danielle's group did just fine and Danielle had a blast. After the big show she signed autographs and received her flowers from us and Nana!
Post from Kathy: Danielle's Girl Scout troop took a voyage last weekend to Branson, Missouri. Needless to say the girls had a blast and the Moms came home tired! We took the troop to the Silver Dollar City and they had a great time riding the rides. We had amazing weather for the day and created many lifetime memories. Enjoy the pictures from the trip!
Fifteen years ago on May 11th, 1996, two young people said, "I do," and never looked back. So it's 15 years later and we've faced tragedy, heartbreak and through it all we still found happiness. Looking back now, I realize it is because we try. Try to find that moment to enjoy. Try to find a kind word to say when you're mad. Try to be supportive when its you that wants the shoulder to lean on.
A lyric of a song reminds me of what a marriage is, "it takes more than love." When we got married I thought I loved Kathy. Little did I know that love grows and every day I find myself more in love with her. On some random day and in a random moment, it sometimes strikes me that I am very fortunate and very lucky. I have a beautiful wife, two precious children and the loving support of our extended families!
So I can't believe it's been 15 years and can't wait to see what the next 15 hold!
Oh yeah...those two happy kids in the picture....they were clueless that day! It takes more than love, but I love what we have!

Zac had his first communion today. We are so proud of him and I can tell you he did not like all the attention! He is not the type of kid who likes the lime light. Danielle was an altar server and cantor today which we really enjoyed! Zac also presented the gifts (i.e., the basket of offerings), so his Grammy, Grampy and Nana were really enjoying that too!
