Balloons for Papa

We wrote notes on balloons and launched them into the heavens for Papa's birthday.  I think the kids really liked the idea that Zac came up with.   Nana enjoyed it too!  I think Dad was around because two of the balloons made a pit stop in the tree before travelling on!

Night moves - part 2

Ok tried again !  This time I waited for that magical time between day and night - DUSK!  Interesting result:

Yes, it is a Bob Seger song title.  It is also my latest challenge to myself.  I want to take a night shot of the Christmas lights.   Unfortunately I researched it after taking this shot.  I will keep trying, but I've got to take the shot just before dark, not when it's actually dark.  So we'll keep trying!  But this is practice shot #1.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

This shot is funny...it let too much light in!  It looks like the lights have a life of their own!

Santa, buddy ol' pal of mine...

We made our annual trek to OKC for Thanksgiving and this means a trip to the Northpark Mall to visit Santa Claus.  

It's the annual...I've been good (enough) to get x, y and/or z!

Sadly that was the only other "annual" thing we did.  Well...I guess not "sadly," since I slept in and skipped out on Black Friday! :)

Oh how the days go by...

My friend from my childhood (and I do mean 30 years ag0!) was able to make a stop in Tulsa.  We were the best of friends when we lived in Milwaukee, WI!

Cracking up that Jeff wasn't able to be at dinner, but I was able to introduce the kiddos and Kathy to him.
